The Nolen Family | Oklahoma Special Needs Photographer

2013-10-15_0014.jpg
When Jackson was 6 years old his parents started brining him to Make Promises Happen, a camp for individuals with special needs where Josh and I regularly volunteer. I met Jackson on his first day of camp, when he earned the nick name “action Jackson”. Jackson has a rare form of Autisim, where his left and right brain have trouble communicating. It’s a miracle Jackson can talk, let alone sing, run around, ride a bike, and build a puzzle. I have watched him grow from a 6 year old fire cracker, to a 5″1 young man who is still always willing to give a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I had the very special chance to spend the morning at the Nolen’s home this Sunday and take a sneak peak into their home life. Jackson’s parents Jake and Crystal are rock stars, ready for anything life, or Jackson, throws at them. We played and sang, made fart noises, and captured lots of special Nolen family moments.
If you know anyone who has a special needs child and has stressed about the idea of family photos, please have them give me a call : ) Enjoy these photos!

Lindsey, thank you so much for such a great shoot! It was so easy and it was obvious how comfortable you made each of us- especially Jackson! Family photos have never been this much fun!
